Prior to focusing on SeaChange Estate Agents, Peter honed his skills as a Prestige Property Specialist with one of the Gold Coast’s leading real estate agencies. He now brings a wealth of experience to his passion for inclusive buying, selling, and downsizing services. He values traditional principles and strives to deeply understand and fulfill the needs of his clients.
Initially trading as Seniors Real Estate, the agency was founded by Peter and Janie Simmonds with a vision to redefine the real estate experience for mature adults. The agency now trades as SeaChange Estate Agents, a name Janie and Peter had agreed upon prior to her passing from cancer.
In her memory, Peter is directing the agency’s community support towards cancer awareness and research initiatives. To kick off this project, Peter is taking a sabbatical to help with his own grieving. He plans to embark on an 800-kms walk along the Camino de Santiago – Camino Frances, The Way of Saint James, from St. Jean Pied de Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain, in support of Cancer Council Queensland.
In medieval Europe, wealthy patrons paid poor pilgrims to undertake the pilgrimage on their behalf and seek God’s absolution for the sins and pain the patrons had inflicted on others. Peter aims to carry on this tradition through his “Walking for The Sins and Pain of Others” campaign, covering the full 800 kilometres. Whether you have sinned, seek repentance for past misdemeanours, or have caused emotional pain to others, for a donation Peter will walk on your behalf. He will present your name to the shrine of St James at Santiago and seek your forgiveness. If you have nothing to confess, please donate in Janie’s memory and support the fight against this devastating disease.
